Simon Redekop was born in 1977 in Dawson Creek, BC, and currently lives and works out of Vancouver, BC. He studied fine arts, graphic design and illustration at Kwantlen College and Capilano College. He was co-founder of the Humanfive collective in 2000, which had 10 shows, including the grand finale in Barcelona, Spain, in 2007. Over the past eight years Redekop has had three solo exhibitions locally, 10 Collective solo shows and numerous group shows throughout North America and overseas. Primarily working with painting and sculpture since graduation, he plans to expand his work to incorporate video, sound and performance.
