Born in the expansive vistas of Saskatchewan in 1981 Kale began his life long fascination with drawing and the Arts at the tender age of 5. His next passion was revealed at 14 when he discovered his love for playing drum and is currently playing with Vancouver based band Prog trio Revelstoke. It wasn’t until the summer of 2007 whilst living in Paris France that Kale “found” photography, and took to documenting everything around him. Traveling extensively throughout France, Belgium and Turkey, Kale amassed a very large body of work in a very short time, ranging from social commentary street photography to architectural studies of derelict abandoned spaces to fine art and fashion. Currently working freelance based out of Vancouver Kale’s style and passion continues to grow fueled by a curiosity to shoot photos of anything and everything.
