The department of Industrial and Strategic Design at the University of Art & Design Helsinki is currently showing work from a recent exploration of the Lapplands of Finland. A great investigation of how contemporary design practice draws on cultural and folkloric tradition.
Pictured is a traditional Kuksa cup made in coloured ice by Juho-Pekka Virtanen and a reindeer toy to cure urban loneliness by Timo Halko.
